SynergenOG recently conducted an enlightening Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) Training Course, held at INSTEP, Malaysia. This five-day program was attended by participants from INPEX, Japan and was aimed at introducing effective techniques and strategies for conducting QRA assessments.
The course material was selectively approved by the CPD, UK, and was designed to equip attendees with fundamental understanding and practical knowledge of QRA. The comprehensive course curriculum consisted of the following modules:
- Introduction to the QRA Training
- Hazard Identification (HAZID)
- Consequence Modelling
- Release Frequency Analysis
- Event Tree Analysis
- Risk Calculation & Risk Acceptance Criteria
- Non-Hydrocarbon Hazard Analysis (NHHA)
- ALARP & Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)
The feedback received from both trainers and participants was overwhelmingly positive. The course not only delivered theoretical insights but also engaged participants in active discussions and practical applications, thereby ensuring an enhanced learning experience.
